Parents And Teachers Play Important Role

"Grandpa Joe's Final Words" video reminds NN of her younger days when she was at school. Some teachers loved to belittle their pupils at school. One teacher said to NN's classmate that she was hopeless and good for nothing. This girl has grown up into a successful lady who is well known and celebrated by the society. Where is the teacher now? Remained as an old retired teacher.

The girl vowed to the teacher, "You say I am good at nothing and hopeless? You will see one day when you become an old woman, I will become a famous person". This was exactly what she did!

Teachers and parents have to be careful with what they say to the younger people. Most of the time a person's self-esteem is destroyed by their parents and teachers belittling and discouraging words. They do not realise that their words uttered when they are angry can affect their pupils',students' or children's self-esteem.

Parents and teachers are supposed to be leaders to the younger ones. An effective leader is someone who helps to build a person's self-esteem and encourage them to flourish and prosper. This applies to the leaders of a nation or heads of organisations too. Leadership starts from home, so says the wise. Many countries,families and schools are in chaos because their heads do not have the skill of a good and effective leader. An effective leader is someone who helps to mentor and build the people below them /subordinates to become his/her effective proteges/successors to take over the nation, management or the family.

Most of the time the heads of a nation are good as 'heads of nations' in ruling their countries, but they are not effective leaders because they are unable to groom their subordinates into potential effective leaders/successors to succeed them. Thus, we see the new generation becomes frustrated and go on strike to express their frustration/disappointment. The core of this problem is actually rooted from a head who is not an effective head and doesn't have the skill,ability or the positive qualities of a good effective leader. Character and personality of a person is part of his/her own self-image.

Can you see how important our self-image is? It starts from home, then it has to be applied in a bigger picture in every aspects of our life. Self-image starts from home my dear friends! No matter what you want to be it starts from YOU! Yes YOU my dear friends!
