Parents And Teachers Play Important Role
"Grandpa Joe's Final Words" video reminds NN of her younger days when she was at school. Some teachers loved to belittle their pupils at school. One teacher said to NN's classmate that she was hopeless and good for nothing. This girl has grown up into a successful lady who is well known and celebrated by the society. Where is the teacher now? Remained as an old retired teacher. The girl vowed to the teacher, "You say I am good at nothing and hopeless? You will see one day when you become an old woman, I will become a famous person". This was exactly what she did! Teachers and parents have to be careful with what they say to the younger people. Most of the time a person's self-esteem is destroyed by their parents and teachers belittling and discouraging words. They do not realise that their words uttered when they are angry can affect their pupils',students' or children's self-esteem. Parents and teachers are supposed to be leaders ...
2017 is leaving us soon. 2018 is slowly approaching. December of 2017 has given me some surprises which I never expected or anticipated. One of them was that I was honoured to be the presenter at Tele-Novella Award Night recently. The person I was presenting the award to was Dato' Sri Maria Menado. An icon from the Malaysian movie industry. She is an idol to most Malaysians. This was a great opportunity indeed for me to present her a 'Special Tribute To Legendary Actress' and being able to embrace her personally. Congratulations dear Dato' Sri Maria Menado!
